Silly Sock Day

To all of our Friends and Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to celebrate the beginning of spring by joining the Spring Awakening Concert on Friday 23 April at 6pm for families or Friday 30 April at 11am and 2pm for Schools.

The free half an hour concert will be broadcast live from their Youtube channel.

You do not need to register for a place, but if you are planning to join, please do let them know. If you would like a shout out please email info@bamboozletheatre.co.uk in advance with the session you’ll be joining (date and time) and the person or class we are shouting out to (if you are a school please give your school and class name).

Speech and Language Drop in Sessions

The speech and language team will be continuing the drop-in sessions on a Friday afternoon, with 30-minute slots to book from 2:30-3:30pm, for any topic that a staff member or parent would like to talk about. In addition to this, the following is available to parents across the Luton Special Schools

Social Communication Strategies - a practical, ideas-sharing session between parents, focusing on Comic Strip Conversations, Social Stories, Zones of Regulation and more.

The specialist, enabling environment at Woodlands; this is available to parents of pupils at the school, and focuses on the Communication Friendly Environment of the school, which is consistently provided across the school day.

Using objects to help access language - a practical, ideas-sharing session between parents

Friday 28th May 2-2:30pm

Using visuals to reduce anxieties – a practical, problem-sharing session with opportunities to answer questions.

 

Parents can book their place by emailing Thea directly (theodora.cook@nhs.net); She will then send out the TEAMs invite on the Wednesday before each session.

Parents Coffee Morning

 

Please join us for our next Parents Coffee Morning on Thursday 25th March at 11am - 12pm. The meeting will be held on Zoom and can be accessed by clicking on the link that was sent out via ParentMail. This is an informal event so there is no need to book, just log on.

Keech Hospice Fundraiser

 

Following the sad news that our Keech charity box was stolen in our recent break in, the LZW team have decided to hold a Keech Fundraiser. Please join us in supporting this wonderful local charity. We will be holding a Cake Sale on Wednesday 24th March. Donations and purchases are welcome. Red Nose Day

 

On Friday 19th March we will be doing our bit for Comic Relief by  holding an outdoor 'Really Red Experience'. Children can come to school wearing something red. You can help us support this great cause by sending in donations with your child or donating directly to the charity (click here to donate). Suggested donation is £1.
