Makaton Beginners and follow up course - Luton schools & EY provisions

Free* 6 Week Evening Course - Delivered by qualified Makaton tutor.

Outcomes:

To be familiar and confident to use Makaton confidently in basic daily interactions.

To enable practitioners to enhance communication and understanding of children with SEND and EAL

As there are limited places on the course, we aim to prioritise those who will have the most practical impact.

Course dates and time:

Summer term course 1:

This course is a follow up course, participants must have completed the beginner’s course.

Dates: Tuesday 18th, 25th April 2023

Tuesday 2nd, 9th 16th and 23rd May 2023

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Summer term course 2:

The course is a Makaton beginners course for parents and local school staff.

Dates: Monday 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th June 2023

Monday 3rd, 10th July 2023

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Course participants: Certification requires attendance to all sessions and completion of course feedback form.

Closing date: Once course is full (15 places) or 2 weeks before start date.

Venue: Lady Zia Wernher School, Ashcroft Road, LU2 9AY

Access through main gate, the course entrance is at the rear of the school. Please follow Makaton Training signs.
