VACANCY - CLEANER

About this role

15 Hours per week, Term Time only (38 weeks worked)

 

4pm – 7pm Monday to Friday

 

In addition there will be an occasional requirement to work additional hours during some school holidays which will be paid via timesheet.

 

Scale:  L1A (SCP 1) £9.00 per hour

An opportunity has arisen for a cleaning operative to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team.  You will have a genuine desire to ensure the cleanliness of the school site so that health and safety standards are maintained and the learning environment is enhanced.  Enthusiastic and with a positive friendly approach you will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be reliable and trustworthy. 

 

Under the supervision of the Site Agent the cleaning operative will be employed to assistant in the cleaning of the school helping to maintain a healthy and safe environment at all times.  We can offer you a vibrant, happy school with a strong and supportive Leadership Team, and enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated staff.

 

You will be expected to use mechanical cleaning equipment as well as the usual hand cleaning methods, cleaning a variety of ground floor areas (i.e. classrooms with hard floor and carpeted areas, toilets, medical rooms).  Training will be given as required.

 

Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English.
