Information on contact tracing in education and childcare settings
Education and childcare settings do not need to carry out routine contact tracing. NHS Test and Trace undertake the identification and notification of the close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case.
In response to recent queries, the DfE have updated the contact tracing ‘frequently asked questions’ which can be found on the below:
Attendance at school is compulsory. If a family member or someone in close contact with your child has tested positive, then the expectation is for parents/ carers to make alternate arrangements for your child to attend school. If you have any difficulties with this, then please contact the school to discuss.
